Maple Grove Freeziac Opens

Freeziac's fruity Hawaiian delight.

The newly opened Freeziac, at Dunkirk Lane and 95th Ave., has opened just in time to offer a pair of self-serve topping combos perfect for a dish of their frozen yogurt that will cool you off quick:

Summer Smore’s Frozen Yogurt Treat

1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
Add 1/2 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini marshmallows (either white or colored for some fun color)
A drizzle of chocolate sauce

Fruity Hawaiian Delight

1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
Add 1/2 cup pineapple
1/4 cup fresh strawberries
1/4 cup kiwi
1/4 cup coconut
A dash of granola to your liking

Co-owner John Mallon, was inspired by similar frozen yogurt concepts on the West Coast where, like a salad bar, you can pick and choose what you want, but with ten flavors of frozen yogurt and a variety of toppings and abundant fresh fruit. Flavors include the usual suspects (chocolate and vanilla) and a few with a “tart” zing (pomegranate, mango and lemon).
