Hammer Residences, Inc. is a Minnesota non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1923 by Alvina Hammer, Hammer provides residential caring support for adult and children with developmental disabilities. Hammer Residences, Inc. serves more than 1500 individuals with a wide range of intellectual disabilities like Autism and Down syndrome. Hammer serves 284 people in 36 homes and 10 apartment complexes in the western metro of the Twin Cities. We also provide specialized services to more than 1,600 individuals in their homes. This year's Relay for Life in Maple Grove/Osseo will be held on Friday evening, July 20th at the Osseo Senior High School track beginning at 6 PM. There will be speakers motivating us about the advances in cancer research, a silent auction, you can speak to survivors of cancer and honor those that have lost the battle. 5k race & 1 mile fun run
We will be offering a neighborhood 5k race (this is a chip timed race) and a family-friendly 1 mile fun run in Maple Grove. The top 3 males and top 3 females will receive medals, as well as the top finisher in the fun run. A compimentary race beanie and a free light breakfast will be offered to all registered runners. Runners are encouraged to bring cheer squads and also wear complimentray race day beanie hats to show support of Emerge Mothers Academy.
