Downhill High School Ski Team

Skiers from Maple Grove, Osseo and Park Center area schools make up the
Northwest Alpine Ski team.  Students in
grades 7th -12th are eligible to participate.  Skiers of all levels are welcome.  No prior race experience is necessary.

Red Bull Crashed Ice 2017

For the past five years, St. Paul has hosted the Red Bull Crashed Ice event right outside the beautiful Cathedral of St. Paul. As the third event in the tour, Crashed Ice comes back to Minnesota, and is projected to draw crowds of up to 100,000. Minnesota native Cameron Naasz will be back to defend his title in this fierce competition.

Women Run the Cities

September 27 Celebrate sisterhood at Women Run the Cities, one of ESPN’s top five races for women in the nation. Organizers say that this popular event—featuring 10-mile and 10K runs, a 5K run/walk and a girls’ 1-mile run—is great for experienced runners and newbies alike. The courses start and finish at gorgeous Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, and track along the Mississippi River. Register online; spots fill up quickly. Girls’ run open to ages 4–12. Prices vary by registration date and distance; $15–$70 and up.

Family Archery

Unleash your inner Robin Hood or draw your bow for the first time with an afternoon of archery excitement with training tips from skilled instructors. Participants learn the basics of archery safety as well as tips and tricks to hone accuracy from one of many elevated shooting platforms. Targets are stationary and all equipment is provided for the entire family. Reservations are required and there is a 20 percent discount to groups of four or more.
