SUMMARY:Mayor's Prayer Breakfast 2025
DESCRIPTION:The 19th annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at 7:15 a.m. on May 1 at Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove. Since its inception in 2005\, the event has been a celebration open to all faiths and interests.\nThis year’s keynote speaker is Tanner Morgan\, the winningest quarterback in University of Minnesota history. Drawing from his experience as a record-setting athlete and his journey in ministry\, Tanner speaks with clarity\, conviction and a heart for transformation. The morning event also includes music\, buffet breakfast and an opportunity to visit with other attendees and share in the joy of living and working in our community.\n\nThe prayer breakfast has sold out in previous years. Advance registration and payment are required by April 11. Individual seats are $35\, and a table sponsorship for ten guests is $350. Registration is online at mgprayerbreakfast.org. At Water Lantern Festival\, we cherish these moments and will do our best to help you have an memorable experience that you’ll never forget. \nEach adult ticket comes with the following: \n\nWristband for entry into the festival area with access to food trucks\nFloating lantern kit\nLED candle\nCommemorative drawstring bag\nConversation cards\nPlaying cards\nMarker\nLantern retrieval and water clean up\n\nThe price covers the cost of collecting and removing the lanterns from the water following the event as well as cleaning up any trash that may have been previously been in or around the water. \nIn addition\, we support the mission of Water.org in helping to provide safe water and sanitation to families around the world.

Maria’s Voice is hosting a candlelight vigil open to the public as a platform for survivors\, advocates\, and community members to unite against domestic violence. \nThe program will include inspirational speeches\, survivor stories\, musical performances\, and resources for those seeking help or wanting to support the cause. Attendees can expect a moving and informative evening to highlight the importance of raising awareness about domestic violence and promoting a culture of empathy\, respect\, and support. No pictures or video will be posted from the event that identifies anyone in attendance to ensure everyone’s anonymity and safety. \nMaria’s Voice is an organization that\, through its “Prevention Network\,” education has tirelessly worked to empower local government\, Businesses\, Faith\, and Judicial Communities to create a society where domestic violence is no longer tolerated in honor of the Founders’ Daughter\, Maria Pew. This tribute event will serve as a testament to the strength and resilience of survivors and a reminder that Maple Grove and other communities stand united against domestic abuse.
