Summer Camps in Maple Grove to Keep the Kids Busy Over Break

The question perplexes most parents as summer rolls around: How will I keep the kids busy? Thankfully, we have several unique experiences happening right here in our community:

Camp Arbor at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes
This seven-session Tuesday morning camp runs from 10:30-11:15 a.m. June 11-July 23. The free program is designed for children ages 3-10 and includes weekly, interactive, educational activities for kids and a snack. Activities include visiting with animals from Elm Creek Nature Center, planting a flower, decorating a tie for Father’s Day or enjoying live music.

Art Classes at the Maple Grove Arts Center
From paint and clay to chalk and slime, the Maple Grove Arts Center offers classes for ages 6-16 starting in June. Examples include Gelli Printing with Leaves, Slime Time and Ooey, Gooey, Messy Art Camp. The All About MN Art Camp helps kids create artwork based off of Minnesota landmarks.

Camp ROCKS! Academic Adventures and Mini Camps
This program offers camps on science, art, technology, cooking, fitness and more. Camp Rocks! runs from July 8-31 and is taught by licensed teachers, who bring passion and excitement to the class.

Creo Kids Academy Science Camp
This nine-week science-based camp is for students entering grades 1-8. It is seven days a week from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and focuses on hands-on learning while also bridging the gap between grades. Science projects are grade appropriate and include computer coding, robotics and tinkering.
