Juneteenth Celebration 2024

Maple Grove Parks and Recreation is excited to announce our third annual Juneteenth Celebration from 5–9 p.m. on June 19 at Town Green. Join us for an evening filled with reflection, education, entertainment and unity.

This event will showcase a Black-owned business fair where attendees can explore a variety of products and support local businesses. There will be food offerings from food trucks, and children can engage in a variety of activities such as story walks, lawn games, a coloring mural and more. There will also be entertainment on the stage including music, spoken word poetry, drumlines and headliner band Chase & Ovation.

In the spirit of Juneteenth, we unite as a community to acknowledge the strides we have made, understand the hurdles that persist and commit to strive towards cultivating a fairer and more inclusive society.
