Sea Eagles took flight and captured an honorable mention nod for the Nature and Wildlife category in our annual photo contest, Focus on Maple Grove.

Guiyun Qu of Maple Grove took the photo from her apartment in the Arbor Lakes area. Using a Canon Power Shot SX 21OS, the photo was an easy shot, she explains, despite the difficulty that shadows can provide. But lighting wasn’t a factor for this local shutterbug. “The lighting was perfect for the shadow effect,” Qu says.
