Fall Cocktail Recipe: Fall From the Tree

Fall from the Tree

  • 1 1/2 oz. Laird’s applejack (or bourbon or scotch)
  • 1 oz. Fresh apple juice
  • 1/2 oz. Cinnamon syrup*
  • 1/4 oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash The Bitter Truth aromatic bitters
  • Apple slice for garnish

Add all the ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with an apple slice.

*Cinnamon syrup: Add 1/2 oz. cinnamon bark, two cups turbinado sugar and two cups water into a saucepan, and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cover saucepan and let simmer for two minutes. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for at least 24 hours. Strain into a container. This keeps in a refrigerator for two weeks.—From liquor.com
