Central Park opens its skating loop for another summer of fun.

Are you looking for a fun way to get some exercise this summer? The Central Park roller skating loop is here to deliver. Sitting at over 800 feet long and 20 feet wide, the rink—which mainly functions as an ice skating loop in the winter—opens from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily throughout summer.

Additionally, lights and food options will be offered around the rink. And if you don’t happen to own a pair of skates, there’s no need to worry—on July 18 and August 15, rentals are available from 6–8 p.m. “Twin Cities Skaters comes with plenty of skates in all sizes for people to borrow for free,” says Roee Hecht, recreation coordinator for the City of Maple Grove Parks and Recreation. Twin Cities Skaters is an organization that offers mobile events and roller skating services to rinks around the Metro for beginners and experts alike.
