Grab those totes and get ready to support local growers, bakers and makers.
Spring sees the return of many things, and one of those things is the Maple Grove Farmers Market’s Indoor Market. It’s open from 3 to 6 p.m. every other Thursday starting March 7 to April 18 inside the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road.
“We’re thrilled to welcome back our community to the Maple Grove Farmers Market,” Mao Lee, Maple Grove Farmers Market manager, says. “After a long hiatus, we’re eager to reconnect with our customers and introduce newcomers to the abundance of fresh, locally sourced products available right here in Maple Grove.”
There are also special activities planned for each Thursday. Kids have the chance to win prizes on March 21; April 4 marks the seed swap; and lastly, on April 18, there will be a vendor sampling event. Not only are there special events to enjoy but also a wide variety of produce and other foods available for purchase from baked goods to cheeses.
Celebrating 20 Seasons
The Maple Grove Outdoor Farmers Market is on track to return for its 20th year, but this year will see a temporary change in venue. For 2024, the outdoor market will be hosted at the parking lot of Church of the Open Door, 9060 Zanzibar Lane N.
This change is due to the scheduled expansion project at the Maple Grove Community Center, which is set to begin in July.
The Outdoor Farmers Market will be open 3–7 p.m. every Thursday from May 9 to October 17 with hours changing to 3–6 p.m. in October.
