Add these local festivals to your bucket-list.

There’s nothing better than a summertime festival. Come out, meet new members of the community and enjoy entertainment for all ages in the Maple Grove area:

Maple Grove Days, July 10–14, will include a variety of activities for all ages, according to Amy-Marie Lemanski, the event coordinator. Enjoy live music, food trucks and vendor fairs. For kids, there will be entertainment, such as dances, magicians, a petting zoo and a movie night. For all ages, a parade will take place on July 11. “It’s a super fun event, and this year we’ve got some great entertainment lined up,” Lemanski says. For information, visit mgco.org.

The Arbor Lakes Art Fair, July 13 and 14, will have over 45 artists and high-end crafters, who will sell handmade pieces such as ceramics, paintings, jewelry, glass, photography and wood work, according to Linda Sell, the events coordinator at Arbor Lakes. The weekend also includes a variety of entertainment, including live music, food trucks and a scavenger hunt for kids. “It’s great for our shoppers, it’s great for our stores. It’s great for the artists, and it’s just a really fun weekend,” Sell says. “You can shop, you can go to a restaurant and eat, you can go and buy some art, you can have a whole experience for the weekend.” For information, visit maplegrove artscenter.org.

Corcoran Country Daze, August 16 and 17, is put on by volunteers, and all proceeds go back into various Corcoran community organizations. During the day, all of the kids events are free, including face painting, rides and games. “We pay for all of it between our sponsors and ourselves with the money that we earn, so that every kid is on equal footing when they come to our festival,” says Kirsten Thompson, the chair and president of the Corcoran Community Fund. Both nights include a country concert (tickets are required) with Dylan Scott, Hailey James and Tyler Braden on August 16 and Gary Allan, Drew Parker and Derek Jones on August 17.
