The Maple Grove school earns a distinctive merit award from Cognia.
Adding to its longstanding legacy, Heritage Christian Academy (HCA) has exceeded rigorous national standards to secure the Accreditation with Merit distinction from Cognia Global Accreditation Commission, a nonprofit that provides quality assurance in education. “Accreditation as conferred by the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission provides [HCA] a nationally recognized mark of quality for our school,” says HCA president Tonya Scott. “It demonstrates to our community our commitment to excellence, our willingness to enact meaningful change based on evaluation and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students and their families we serve.”
HCA is an interdenominational school that dedicates its time building a foundation for academic excellence and spiritual growth for K-12 students. The school’s core values—truth, service, relationships and excellence—have brought it the success it sees today, as this year marks its 10th year earning accreditation from Cognia.
Cognia’s accreditation with merit is not easy to come by with less than 20 percent of schools receiving it annually. As a global leader in education, Cognia looks for outstanding schools that prioritize productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation and effective leadership. Successfully navigating this evaluation means a school fully meets Cognia’s performance standards and maintains a deep-rooted commitment to continuous improvement. By earning this achievement, HCA demonstrates a distinguished and nationally recognized model for student success.
