MGCO Halloween Family Fun Day, October 21

Maple Grove Community Organization (MGCO) is hosting a Halloween Family Fun Day event at Weaver Lake Park. The event will take place on October 21, with two sessions available from 12:30–2 p.m. and 2:30–4 p.m. The event is designed for children aged 2–8 years old, and tickets are $6 per child. Children under 2 can attend for free.

The event includes goodie bags filled with candy and trinkets, as well as a craft table for children to get creative. There will also be a Scream Off competition: Compete to see who has the loudest and scariest scream. Plus a Hallo-weeny Fashion Show, where children are encouraged to show off their best costumes.

Speaking of dressing up—costumes are encouraged for all attendees. Cross Services will collect food donations at the event. Parking is available on site or at the overflow parking lot at Weaver Lake Ball Fields, located at 17270 82nd Ave. N. For more information and to register, go to mgco.org.

Trunk or Treat, October 28

Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a trunk or treat event? For those who may be unfamiliar, trunk or treat events are gatherings where people decorate the trunks of their cars and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. It’s a fun and safe way to enjoy Halloween festivities, and this year’s event is set to be the spookiest yet.

Dress up in your favorite costume, and join us for Trunk or Treat from 1–4 p.m. on October 28. There will be a costume contest, tons of free treats and more fun activities at the Maple Grove Community Center Parking Lot, 12591 Weaver Lake Road.
