The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes welcomes Leela & Lavender, a one-stop style shop, carrying clothing, shoes, accessories, home items, gifts and more. The store is dedicated to helping women discover their best selves with style, fit and price variety.
Leela & Lavender is the creation of Jill Shea and Laura Polanski, entrepreneurs passionate about creating a culture of happiness that revolves around family and giving back.
Brands include PAIGE, Joe’s Jeans, AGOLDE, Mother, Free People, Marc Fisher, Dolce Vita and more. The duo opened its first boutique in Fargo (2017). There are now five locations, the most recent being in Maple Grove.
The store’s name has a couple meanings, Shea says. “Leela” means “great adventure” or “great discovery,” a fitting moniker for a store that aims to offer “style adventure” to customers. The “lavender” part reflects the goal of being a relaxing, spa-like place to shop, relax or even hold private events like bachelorette or birthday parties, Polanski says. “We want people to feel good when they shop here,” she says. “We really want to empower women to be their best [selves].”
For those who don’t like to shop, the store offers style sessions, where customers can fill out a questionnaire and employees select clothing options and have a dressing room ready when the guest arrives.
