“The goal was to take a single photo without any photoshopping or manipulation. This time-lapse photo was taken in total darkness. With the camera on a tripod and myself dressed in black, I ran in front of the camera and completed a series of covering and uncovering the sparkler spelling out Maple Grove,” says hobbyist photographer Tom Danielson. “The first night did not go as planned because the sparkler expired before I could spell out Maple Grove. I came back with longer sparklers, and got the shot I wanted.”
