Maple Grove, MN - Rock Elm Tavern in Maple Grove is teaming up with War Pigs Brewing to create the ultimate neighborhood “Piggy Lawn Party”. The lawn party will be held July 25th from 5-9pm, located at the Rock Elm Tavern in Maple Grove.
The Piggy Lawn Party will have a whole smoked hog and WarPigs’s new line of craft beer: Foggy Geezer, Lazurite and Salmon Pants.
Family-owned local beef supplier, Revier Farms, is kindly providing a smoker for the Lawn Party, which Rock Elm Tavern’s head chef, Steve Johnson will use to smoke a whole hog.
The smoked hog will be used to serve up specialty street tacos (exclusive to the Lawn Party), as well as Rock Elm Tavern’s signature BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches.
Beer and food will cost $4. If the weather gets bad, the party will move inside Rock Elm Tavern (lawn chair not required).
War Pigs is a collaborative line of beer created by Chicago-based brewery Three Floyds and Denmark’s Mikkeller - brought to Minnesota by Surly's former brewmaster and head of operations, Todd Haug.
Rock Elm Tavern in Maple Grove is a local restaurant serving up scratch-made American tavern food made with a modern twist and over 20 craft beers on tap.
